"So many people with entry level of skills (but with a certain amout of knowledge by reading books and getting a few sessions of trainings) of j2ee can even play a senior role and are leading the guru like you guys."
- Are you referring a PM role? It makes sense if it is. But if you think a perosn who only has entry level technical skill can pretend to be a senior developer and lead a team of developers to deliver a mission-critical application, then your statement is naive.
You can make false statement on your resume and fake your experience during interview, even you can work for a short term, but in the long run, your experience will be questioned.
How well you perfom in your job is based upon how well you understand the technology. It doesn't necessarily mean you know how to code it, but you should know the nitty-gritty, the core conept. Most importantly, as a senior poeple the core skill he should has is knowing how to apply the technogy in existing system - this is a tough job. Unfortunately, you can not acquire thses type of skills by just reading books.
