    Preludio No. 7, op. 28

    Composer: Frédéric Chopin (1810-1849)

Frédéric François Chopin, born Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin (1 March 1810 – 17 October 1849) was a Polish composer and virtuoso pianist of the Romantic era who wrote primarily for solo piano. He has maintained worldwide renown as a leading musician of his era, one whose "poetic genius was based on a professional technique that was without equal in his generation." Chopin's piano compositions include the cycle of 24 Preludes, Op. 28, covers all major and minor keys. In the style of a mazurka, the original piano edition of No. 7 is in A major, and is used by Federico Mompou for his Variations on a Theme of Chopin. "The father of classical guitar" Francisco Tárrega (1852 - 1909) made a guitar arrangement in D major. My transcription is based on E major and try to reflect the origin of piano interpretation.

I arranged the piece during Christmas 2020, and recorded right before Chinese New Year 2021.
