CRA requested those affected tax payers to report their fraud cases to local police and wait for CRA responses. but more than half years past, CRA response never came. How can I do?
I reported to waterloo region police, half year later, called back to learn police never bothered to investigate because CRA didn't give police authority to involve in financial institution fraud cases.
I contacted with CIBC account activity fraud, because those hacker cibc bank accounts were anonymous, I am not owner of account, so cibc refused to disclose any information to me. they told me if police is involving, cibc will cooperate.
looked like deadlock arising from those fraud cases. Estimated similar victims over 20 thousands.
