    • Good idea. But never heard any community arrange skiing. we may have to do something with ourselves. By the way, what can I wear for skiing?
      • Glove, hat, water-proor outfit ( no cotton ), sun glass, napkin for your snivel, extra set of dry socks and cloth. That should be enough.
      • How much about the fee? BTW, Sailor, did you practice skating in this winter?
        • I do roller-blading in the summer, in the lakeshore. Indeed, when the spring comes, we can begin roller-blading then.
        • $30-$35 for lifting, $25-$30 for equipment(rental, include skis, bindings, boots and poles).
本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Some place has beginner's pakage cost about $45 that include both lifting and equipment rental. Most people like to go to collingwood area where have buch of ski resort but they are 160 km from TO (about 2 hr driving). I found another place this year, It's actually quite good, and it just about half hr driving from metro. It has 20 run down slop for alpine ski and one terrain park for cross country, they also have jumps, half pipes, mogule runs which I havn't seen in other places around TO... free ski and snow boarding class. can't really tell the exact location, From Richmond hill drive alone highway 47 Bloomington rd. eastbound pass Brock rd. it's on your right hand side. I can dig some more later if you guys want .

BTW, I want to say I like this place very much, I came across this site few days ago and I've been really sucked in....wonderful people, too bad I missed the fun, but... maybe next time. I have been here for quite some years now... over 1/3 of my life, Your guys make me wonder how much have been changed in China...and, really...it brings me back to my early day in this country, what we said in Chinese, 火红的青春,战斗的年代.

          Good luck ,every body!

            • ski resorts of two: Blue Mountain- the largest and best, so called; Lakeridge resort as suggested by JIAN.
本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Price is varying from $ 50-60 for a four-hour ski, including lifts, and rental.
Beigner's class will be a little cheaper at $45-50 range.

Please see attached detailed information, for those who would like to find out more, visit their web directly.

The other resorts won't be too much difference. If we all want a beautiful and large mountain, Blue Mountain is the choice, lots of trials and view is great at the peak. If we don't care too much about the view, only for beginner or intermedium ski, Lakeridge is closer and cheaper.
