by frank: 陷阱:Bell Canada给我的北美经验 在加拿大生活和工作需要很多的"北美经验"确实是千真万确。因为在加拿大到处都有看不见的陷阱,经验不足必定落网。在我用Bell Canada电话的经历上就可见一斑,本人记述在此,望各位新来的朋友千万留意,以免重蹈覆辙。 当我刚刚装上电话时,试着给国内的朋友们打了几个电话,几天后收到BELL的帐单中国--$1.14/分,美国--$0.20/分。后来决定把长话转到"xxx"一周后,BELL打来电话说BELL的服务是一流的希望继续使用BELL的长话服务,并可以给我们打折优惠,尽管我并没有答应,第二天,我的长话还是被转回了BELL公司。结果下个月的帐单变成了中国-0.53/分,美国-0.22/分,香港-0.10/分,加拿大0.15/分。但相比xxx还是贵了不少,所以,我打电话给BELL说discontinue long distance service.但是BELL并没有取消我的长话业务,在我联系新的长话公司之前又继续用了近一个月的BELL长话。今天我收到新的帐单让我大吃一惊,中国-3.16/分,美国-0.35/分,香港-0.79/分, 一个月的电话总金额加税居然高达360加圆。等我打电话去询问时,BELL说:你不是要求取消带有 discount的长话服务吗?真是让人苦笑不得。世上能有自动要求多给钱的疯子吗? BELL CANADA连discontinue与cancel discount都分不清,可能吗?如果打电话给他们的人英文不好出这样的问题还情有可原,但如果是托福考了663分,在大学教英文十多年的英文专业博士、问题就不是交流方面的了。经过反复争论他们终于答应复查,我还在拭目以待。 顺便我又问了一下五月底我联系好了的"xx电讯"是否转过去了。BELL说你们不是又转回来了吗?真是天晓得!我才想起,两天前BELL CANADA打电话来时,我用中文 '喂' 了一声, 他便问"Mandarin or Cantonese"我答道Mandarin。然后他就挂了电话。后来就再也没有来电话。难道一个Mandarin就是对取消我还没接通的"xx电讯"长话业务的答复吗?真是岂有此理! 这大概也算是北美经验之一吧。 -------------------------------- by: 同感 我接到几个奇怪的电话,一个是Bell的业务员问我要不要Long distance?我已接XX电讯长话,就回答说我不打长途,只要Local 后来接到两次电话,让我找一个1-800电话查询Account more information, 打过去一听,是AT&T的Custom services语音电话。 还有一次说我的信用卡怎么怎么了,给了一个1-800电话,打过去,又是AT&T.我跟AT@T一 点关系没有,这到底什么回事? 有此“北美经验“的同志可否谈谈? ------------------------ by Derek: Suggestions 1. You may well complain to Bell's Client Service by phone or by Email--try finding references on Bell's web site, and request for a refund of what you think have been charged irrationally. 2. Do not use Bell's long distance service if you don't have a lot of money. You can apply to another company such as Sunny Int'l or else for a lower rated an no-monthly-fee long distance service. You needn't notice Bell about the change. The service will be swiched over automatically. 3. Try some calling cards for long distance calls, if you aren't in a hurry. Most of them are much cheaper in spite of occassional bad calling qualities. These are my personal experiences and for your reference only. ---------------------- Last yesterday Spritn Canada did the same thing on me. I wrote a letter and fax to their VP who take care of the customer service. I told them if them didn't give me the refund and and apologize on this issue, I will take any possible legal action. They gave a call and mail me the check right way. So, you are in a really good position. If you have time and energy, you can make money on this. ---------------------- by 萝卜秧 奉劝各位刚安装电话的朋友. 从长途电话价格上看,Bell的服务根本不可取. 所以,当你申请新电话或转电话时,一定要无比清晰,坚定地告诉他们, 你只要Local服务,不要长途服务.什么样的长途计划也不要. 然后,电话通了以后,再选择你喜欢的别的长途电话公司.但基本上 要五六天的时间才能开通.这段时间内最好不要打长途,或者只用 电话卡打. 等你确定了自己的长途公司(用下面朋友说的1-700-555-4141)后, 才可以放心使用. --------------------- by peter: 谈点个人体会 1. BELL的长途电话原来确实很贵, 而且有很多方案, 3元多到1元多都是正常的, 最近才降到.53的, 如果你不打电话要求折扣, 都少钱都是可能的. 2. 如果转长途电话公司, 直接给要转的公司联系就行了, 他们会帮你做的, 千万别找BELL转, 这已经超出了BELL的服务范围了, 当然没有结果, 而且, 切记!, 再打电话之前一定要先打700电话确认一下!! 3. 首先应该把policy读透。 要做到比电话公司/招生处/收费处的人还清楚条目章程,就可以义正词严地取得应有权益了。

Bell has too much "fine print"!
Bell has too much "fine print"! Maybe its plan is good, but I just cannot spend time to study its fine print, also I'm afraid of being trapped. The same strategy is used by Bell Mobility, Sympatico. 我最不愉快的经历是用primus
他们double charge了credit card还死不承认,也拒绝退钱,不论白天黑夜,接线的总是个欧洲口音的家伙,态度极其恶劣,后来换了个印度口音的女的,也没好到哪里去,而且他们的所谓manager从来不在,接线生就是拒绝让你投诉---这在BEll或者Sprint是不会发生的。后来我要求退出他们的计划,他们又拖拉扯皮了两个月才退款。呵呵,不过去年我有次急着要给国内打个电话,临时用了他们的有surcharge的服务,这些笨笨磨磨蹭蹭接通了,后来竟然忘记收我费了:-p其实如果不用电话卡,家人在另外的城市,Bell的20$/月unlimited domestic calls的first rate还不坏------可怜前两三年风光的sprint到底没有Bell资本雄厚,这一个过招下来就输了一大筹。话说回来,有了竞争还是好,想当初Bell一家垄断,打中国头一分钟 收差不多五块钱,第二分钟起也要三块钱,那时候就只有多写信了。 -zara(蛋糕) 2000-7-21

刚开始装电话时不懂,被BELL收了高额长途费后,半年前就要求把长途取消了。上月账单却赫然出现FirstRate长途月费。打电话去查问,他张口就说你开了长途,我说我的电话机上根本拨不出长途,半年多来也没有发生过一分钱的长途费。....他查了半天,说有人搞错了,我根本就没开长途,答应把钱还我。 一周后发现钱没有进帐,就改用email再问(为得是留下记录),......回说我一直就有FirstRate Plan,只是以前不收月费,上个月开始要收月费了,半年前只是给我的线路加了呼出限制,使它拨不出长途电话....@#$%^(我有病?限制了长途却还要保留长途计划?)。 我说既然有一直一个FirstRate Plan,那么当初就不应该收那么高的长途话费,是否应该把多收的话费还给我?.....回说已经查不到半年前的账单记录了。(提醒大家自己把账单保留好!) 我要求把长途服务彻底取消。......回说: FirstRate已经取消,但保留普通长途功能,话费价格是xxxx, 在xx时段可以有折扣,线路长途呼出限制继续保留...&%$#@*?! 再次要求把长途服务彻底取消。.....却收到一个通知,"你的电话账号将于xx日关闭,在此之前,你需要交话费xxx元.......". .......................... -eelvis(eelvis) 2002-6-10

我跟您的经验一模一样,有呼出限制,却突然要我交FirstRate的月租,打电话到Bell,连他们都说Doesn't make any sense。怀疑Bell那群家伙靠Commision过日子,每次打电话问其他事情,就总是不厌其烦地向你兜售他们的服务。

这里的call centre和telemarketing都是一样的啦,我每次电话到bell要求某些service,他们都要兜售各种服务,我就一个劲的说I am not interested in that。我估计他们有base salary,再加commision的。

有一个不知道算不算建议的建议,大家在遇到觉得不对劲的事情时,请一定拿起电话直接询问,我们曾经遇到过有长途电话把我们打回中国但没有接通的电话也算进了电话费里,立刻打电话询问,因为从电话单上非常明显可以
看出这个现象,所以那边小姐立刻说会在下月里扣除,还有推销时明明说了没有任何其它费用了,但付帐时还是出现了其它费用,也是通过此途径解决的。 -yoho(yo) 2002-6-10
最近刚刚买的欧米茄的649电话卡,打折后4.5刀可一次性打回国200分钟,或三到四次打一百三,四十分钟,通话效果当然不如BELL,但还能接受,就是要打通电话公司的电话需要有点耐心,估计打的人太多,尤其周末。

自从装了BELL LONGDISTANCE CALL,发现别人用我的电话打长途,帐单是186加币,我打电话查,跟他们说我没有打过,他们却说电脑记录不会错,为了能继续使用电话和保持我的良好记录,不得不交,唉。。。。。。。。。。 -capri(capri) 2002-6-10
嘿嘿,我有类似的经历...一年多前不知道从哪里找到一个软件,说是通过这个东东可以破解很多 XXX 站点的密码.好奇一试,果然如此,不过速度太慢,又没什么新鲜的东西,玩儿了一会儿就扔一边去了
月底的话单上赫然列着拨打马达加斯加十余分钟.当然很气愤,抄起电话开始向Bell投诉,告诉他们我没有长话服务,不可能拨打长途,更不知道马达加斯加在哪儿...接线小姐先是反复表示没有错误,是从我的电话上拨出去的,见没有效果,便慢慢给我讲道理,说如果访问一些成人网站,它们会偷偷替你转拨长途..见我沉吟不语,又拿过一张单子,轻声细语地逐一查对我是不是访问过这些站点,都是什么pussy, hot...这类的名字...坚定的给了几个否定的回答后,突然明白可能是怎么回事了...羞惨之下,草草地说了些我再自己核对一下,对不起什么的,挂了电话 -lazycod(飞鹰战士) 2002-6-10

没要BELL的任何长话服务,这个月也被CHARGE了FirstRate,发EMAIL后说搞错了,就按原来的费用付就好了,所以多出来没付.BELL的名堂还真多哦!

Every time call Bell (or anyother customer service) remember to ask for his/her name and agent number. If anything happens, u can always call again and says " xxx said ..... " . Be cautious in the first place, then you'll be better protected. As a last resort , you can always write complain letter. Sometimes this way does't work. Last time I had the similar experience. I had written down the customer representative name. when i told them the name, they told me there is no such a person there.

Call other long distance companies, then transfer, that's ok. Don't say anything to Bell. If you want to cancel any services, just say "CANCEL" the SERVICE.

这意味着仅仅取消计划,而如果贝尔完全取消你的长途Access,则意味着不论你转到那一家公司,都不能打长途,将来恢复还要在付10元。正确的办法是:打给要转的公司,办理转电话的程序,通常需要4到10个工作日,公司
越大越快。自己需要随时用(1-700-555-4141)确认现在的长话公司。而不是通知贝尔转公司。 当未经本人许可转到莫一公司时,一定要尽快打给对方(贝尔的时限是6个月,否则费时费力)将明本人未许可,原来的价格及现在的价格,大多数公司会补回差价。 不必记姓名,最好记下时间(某月某日),或发E-mail。 -jello(JELLO) 2002-6-11

我也有类似的上当经历,经争取终于拿到了REFOUND。可以写投诉信给BELL专门处理投诉的部门(在电话黄页最前面有完整的投诉程序,写给谁,传真号,地址等)。要据理力争,千万别自认倒霉,不吱声。根据我的经验,打电话说不太管用。
